Intel performance bug
I really want to buy this product. I was wondering if you guys concerned at all with the new Intel bug that will reduce all Intel processes about 20%.
Have you looked into the AMD CPUS that are reported to not be effectived by it?

It's not a "bug", it's a backdoor that was independently discovered. The slowing of the processor is also intentional, to force you to continuously buy new CPU's. Intel is not the only company that does things like that. Apple recently got caught slowing down older models of iPhones.
I have PC's on my desk right now that used to be capable of running the software installed on them, but now they're so slow they're almost unusable. The software hasn't changed. The hardware hasn't changed. It's intentionally degraded. I'm using Microsoft Windows. When I switch to linux or FreeBSD (TrueOS), most of the speed comes back and the machines are highly capable again.

Do not worry about this point!
AMD CPUS will not consider temporarily, power consumption is too big!

indeed!
Re: GPD WIN: A handheld game console that can run AAA games smoothly
I thought about this overnight and for me, it won't be a big deal. I read you can opt out of the patch for windows 10. If in fact, it has an impact on performance. It is too early to tell. I will only be using this for gaming and emulators. I am really excited for this!

Probably going to be using this to play Terraria and a few other light games on Steam. Should be great for lunchtime gaming and short breaks at work... Don't tell my boss!

I'm going to use the GPD WIN 2 for my main PC, as a replacement for my collection of obsolete Samsung Q1UP Ultra Mobile PC's (UMPC) from 2004. None of the Apple and Android phones and tablets are adequate replacements for an actual PC. Being able to use the GPD WIN 2 for gaming is a bonus, and a demonstration that it has the computing power I want in a pocket-size portable UMPC.
The best part is the price is reasonable. A lot of people are complaining the price is too high for a gaming device, but if you consider it as a full PC, it's actually very cheap. My Samsung Q1UP cost me $1200 when it was new, and it was totally incapable of playing any graphics-intensive games. The GPD WIN 2 is very impressive compared to the past competition, and it's HALF the price of the Samsung Q1UP. That's a very good value for the money.
The Apple and Android smartphone and tablet phenomenon killed the UMPC market, but I have always thought it was a passing fad that would decline in popularity when the novelty wears wears off and people realize what they really want is a full PC with good battery life. As the only high-end UMPC on the market since 2004, I suspect the GPD WIN 2 will be wildly successful, more so than anyone realizes right now. The impressive success will reboot the UMPC market, and encourage other manufacturers to introduce new models to fill-out the new UMPC market space.
It will take some time for competitors to catch up to the GPD WIN 2 by introducing their own UMPC's. While we wait, the market demand for the GPD WIN 2 could exceed manufacturing capacity, and cause prices to rise. I'm usually not an "early adopter" because I prefer to wait until all the bugs are fixed. However, in this case, I might decide to get one at the discounted price during the crowdfunding campaign, because the $599 price is too low, and I think it could easily rise to around $1000 while there is high demand and no competition.
It will be exciting to watch how it all plays out.

Re: GPD WIN: A handheld game console that can run AAA games smoothly
Is there a chance of us seeing a 16gb RAM on this thing?
Also, with this have stylus and a touch screen?
