Full-featured BIOS & Linux on Win10 version
Hi guys!
I've recently received a new GPD Pocket with Windows 10 and latest BIOS from 2017/08/07. However, I'd like to install Linux instead (to my regret, Ubuntu versions were out-of-stock) and also it would be nice to have unlocked BIOS. So, my questions are:
1) The only full-featured (i.e. "unlocked") BIOS release is from 2017/06/28, right?
2) If so, is it safe to downgrade newer BIOS to the older one (i.e. 2017/08/07->2017/06/28)? I mean, are there any issues able to brick my device?
3) What about preferable distros: are those "stock" Ubuntu firmwares from your website somehow optimized with respect to GPD Pocket configuration? Or I can safely try something different (e.g. Debian Stretch)?
Thank you!

1) yes! unlocked the BIOS only this one.
Pocket BIOS for Ubuntu 20170628

You must first upgrade the BIOS under Windows and then brush the ubuntu firmware.

2) There is no problem, unlock the BIOS to support the ubuntu system, but if relegated to the old BIOS, it is still locked. Then you can't support ubuntu.Only Windows 10 can be supported
Re: Full-featured BIOS & Linux on Win10 version
3) other Linux distributions can be tried, but you are required to have the ability to extract support from the ubuntu firmware.

Thank you for quick reply. A couple of questions though.
You write:
So, if I flash the older "Pocket BIOS for Ubuntu 20170628" over the newer "Pocket BIOS for Win10 20170807", will I have my BIOS unlocked or not?
Next:
Do you mean that I should just install proper kernel and manually follow instructions from the Service webpage? Or I miss something?
