As of 21 August 2017, what is the latest unlocked firmware for the GPD Pocket?

Looking into your web site www.gpd.hk , clicking Service, I get to this page http://www.gpd.hk/news.asp?id=1519&selectclassid=002002 "The Latest Firmware Of GPD Game Console" (which is a confusing title by the way, as the GPDPocket is not an exclusive gaming device, I would just call it a laptop), and that page has a subheading "【GPD Pocket related documents】" which makes me understand that this page is where the GPDPocket firmware is located.

Below there are four download options, "Ubuntu Firmware (internal testing second edition)", "Independent drive firmware", "07/05 BIOS" and "Firmware".

This is totally unclear.

I want an unlocked BIOS so that I can run Ubuntu or any other OS on it. I want many boot and configuration options.

There is no description of which one of these would be the latest BIOS/UEFI firmware.

Which is it?

Can you please make that page clearer?

Actually what BIOS/UEFI firmware options do you offer?

Please explain what the difference between the "Windows firmware" and the "Ubuntu firmware" is.

Does the Ubuntu BIOS contain many BIOS options, and the Windows BIOS contain only extremely few options?

The 5 July 2017 BIOS that my GPDPocket was shipped with contained only extremely few options. I would be interested in getting more options in there. If I would get this by using the "Ubuntu firmware" then I would be happy to do that. Please clarify.

Kendy emailed me back and said that as of today, "P7 BIOS-20170807.zip" downloadable at https://mega.nz/#!1UpwUbYZ!H9rp6_0JrpSbIQdwQLWAvhFzXQutheJ26SqXVNRev40 is the newest BIOS.

Also he says "
Pay attention to that if the BIOS upgrade failure please don't shut down the device directly,
You must need to close the window then run the update procedure again until it is show the PASS image.
Otherwise the device will dead.".


https://www.reddit.com/r/GPDPocket/comments/6q74en/unlocked_gpd_pocket_bios/ refers to https://www.dropbox.com/s/826snv05ix8tmfw/P7-20170628-Ubuntu-BIOS.zip?dl=0 , so that is a file "P7-20170628-Ubuntu-BIOS.zip", did not check it out, not sure if or how it is relevant.

For right now I'll presume "P7 BIOS-20170807.zip" is "unlocked" whatever that means, and that it's adequate. If there's anything more to say on the topic I guess I'll post it here.
