Newbie Questions

Thanks so much for making this computer.  I love it so much.  Have a few questions though that I need help with.  

[1]  i am having a hard time getting the unit to prompt me for a password when i close the lid and then open the lid.  how do i get the computer to always prompt for a password?

[2] is the a way to do this or is there a multiport usb[c] adapter that allows video to pass through the adapter so you dont use the micro hdmi port on the gpd to display on a monitor?

In the "power" setting, set to "wake up need password"!
