Screen staying on when shut?

It looks like the display doesn't stay off when the device is closed. Although it turns off, when it's shut it often turns back on. You can tell just by closing it a few times in a dark room, the display wakes up sometimes after it hits bottom. Sort of a big problem.

I have contacted the email support twice over the last three days, and have yet to hear a response. Is this normal behavior?

I am having the same problem. It's a bit of a worry when transporting the device as it could lead to overheating. The only work around I've had is to completely shut down the Pocket, and then reboot. Out of curiosity, are you experiencing any issues with your Pocket randomly shutting down or any flickering on the display?

Nope, not experiencing the latter issue. I will say, the company has made fixing this problem difficult. It seems they require that we perjure ourselves on customs forms to have it sent back for repair.

Yeah, I am quite disappointed too to be honest with you. ☹ GPD are requesting that I disassemble the battery (myself) prior to shipping (something I cannot do) as Australian Post will not allow shipping products with lithium ion batteries. I am not experienced with doing this, and am very unhappy to open up a product I have purchased at the risk of possibly damaging. They will not cover the cost of shopping through DHL. I would have thought backers would have got better treatment.
